Once I finished my GCSEs, I went to do two weeks work experience with my God Mother at Hall Grove School in Ascot. In Year 10, my school carried out a weeks work experience placement and this is where I spent the week. As Hall Grove was still at school when I finished my exams, I went back to help out towards the end of term.
Before I went on my holiday to America, I had an interview for a part time job at Waitrose in Farnham. I was offered the job and when I returned from my holiday I went to do my training. I also had a holiday to Spain planned, so when I got back I went in to working my normal shift pattern.
So I now work Friday evenings and Saturday during the afternoon and early evening. I'm in the Customer Service section of the branch which means I am responsible for the Welcome Desk and I can also be on checkouts.
Its really good fun, interacting with all the different customers and meeting new people. I've now been working for about a month and have got in to a routine of where to go when I arrive, how the till works, where to find certain items that need to be weighed and the various loyalty schemes that Waitrose offers such as the My Waitrose card and various newspaper vouchers people bring in.
Both of my shifts end after the shop has shut which means at the end of the day, I have to cash up and tidy around the tills and clean them down ready for the next day.
I really enjoy having a part time job as it gives me a sense of independence and means I get to earn my own money, rather than relying on my parents to pay for everything.
The good think about Waitrose is that they are really understanding about me still being in full time education and are reasonably easy going when it comes to changing my working hours to fit around college commitments.

Summer Music
The music that I listen to depends on what mood I'm in and what the occasion is...
If I'm in my room getting ready to go out somewhere, I usually put on some fast beat tracks usually in the form of Jay Z or Kanye West. At the moment I am still really enjoying their collaborative album titled 'Watch the Throne'.
Although not every track on the album is fast and up beat, I LOVE Frank Ocean. His lyrics are moving and thought provoking, yet at the same easy to listen too. I adore is album 'Channel Orange' and some of my favourite tracks include 'Bad Religion' 'Lost' and 'Thinkin' 'Bout You'.
I (like many other people) listen to Spotify and create my own playlists so I can quickly access the music that I love.
My main track that I have been listening to all summer since hearing it in a film and realising what it was is 'On Top of the World' by Imagine Dragons. Its so uplifting and a happy tune compared to some of the works to Tom Odell and Ben Howard that I also enjoy listening to, and is completely different sound to their other Number One hit, 'Radioactive'.
The track reminds me of lots of different things I have done over the summer as it has been playing non stop, so when I listen to it now it brings back happy summer memories of my holidays and spending time in the sun!
Here is the link so you can check it out for yourselves...

Designers I Admire
I am a huge fan of designer handbags, and I love the way in which a fashion house can continue to express its classic style through new ideas.
For example, I love Louis Vuitton. Their classic monogram print is recognised world wide and is available in many different styles, yet to update this look, is available in different finishes and colours, making it more appealing to a younger and wider audience.
The classic Mulberry 'Bayswater' bag is iconic in itself. Again, every season, new colour and finish variations are brought out to keep up to date with season trends and the current market.
In terms of fashion, Chanel keeps it simple, yet classic, never straying too far from the days of Coco Chanel and monochrome colour pallet.
Closer to home, I love Topshop as they cater for all styles. Whether your girly girly, indie, grunge etc you can always find pieces to suit your style. I love their pastel collections and their knitted jumpers are always amazing quality too.
Zara always has amazing handbags and shoes that are chic and stylish while being practical and comfortable to wear. It has the feel of a luxury brand, whilst being affordable and accessible to the everyday shopper.

No one can doubt the glamour and Britishness of Burberry, and creative director Christopher Bailey gets it right collection after collection. One of the most recent stand out and most recognisable pieces were the metallic trench coats, blazers and bags featured at February's Autumn/Winter 13 show. I can't wait to see the Spring/Summer 14 collection!

An Introduction To Me...
My name is Jessie and I am sixteen years old. I have just finished my GCSEs at St Nicholas' School and in September I will be going to Alton College.
I live in Farnham with my parents and younger sister. I know a few people at Alton College, but coming from a small, all girls school, starting at Alton is a big change.
I have been interested in fashion and beauty from a young age and have been blogging since the start of this year.
I already have my own fashion and beauty blog called Jessie Obsessed, but over the past few months, I haven't been blogging as regularly because I have been busy with exams and holidays, but I hope to begin blogging again soon!
